Trainer – Project Planning & Management (NITA)

Job Description

We are seeking a competent trainer to deliver Project Planning & Management short course training aligned to CBET and examining body requirements (NITA).

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver CBET-aligned training for Project Planning & Management (theory + practical).
  • Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and competency-based assessments.
  • Maintain trainees’ practical logs, attendance, and assessment records.
  • Support internal quality assurance and compliance audits (TVETA/NITA where applicable).
  • Mentor trainees on workplace readiness and professional conduct.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

Relevant qualification in School of Social Work and Community Development. Recognised TVET pedagogy qualification (e.g., Diploma in Technical Education / TVET Trainer Education / B.Ed or equivalent). Registered/eligible for registration & licensing with TVET Authority (TVETA).

Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant industry/teaching experience (assessor experience is an added advantage).

Required Skills:

  • Strong practical competence in Project Planning & Management.
  • Competency-Based Education & Training (CBET) delivery skills.
  • Assessment and learner support skills.
  • Good communication, integrity, and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work with diverse learners and meet deadlines.
